The Panhandle is a little strip of green space in San Francisco that’s around three quarters of a mile long by about… 260 feet wide. There’s almost no shrubbery, and not even all that many trees. Apparently there are also some coyotes.
Man, I’m not sure Toby’s family knows quite how lucky they have it. Toby is 13 years old, but when I saw him I assumed he was 2 or 3, based on the way he moved. He’s got that ‘just a half a step away from flying’ bounce that I associate with dogs that don’t know they aren’t still puppies, and if his health is good enough that he still thinks he’s a puppy at age 13, then all I can do is be green with envy.
Thirteen years old. That makes him… older than this blog. (Which started in November of 2009.)I spent most of November and December with my eyes looking like that. But his are SUPPOSED to.
Logan (6 months) looks a bit like he was built from spare parts, doesn’t he? Lucky for him, that’s the kind of dog I like best! (At least, until I see another kind of dog. Okay, I’m fickle, I admit it.
Even at six months, he still has an awful lot of puppy ‘fro left.Magnificent ears. I wonder if either or both will stand up?
I had a rare daytime sighting of laundrypuppy a couple weeks ago. Apparently he and his dad are none the worse for wear after their harrowing experience of late last year. Thank goodness!
While I was there, I got to induct two newcomers into the Laundrypuppy Fan Club. Yay!
I found this pup outside of a restaurant a while back. He is very sweet, and a very, very good boy.
If you look closely you’ll see that the leash is just dangling there. If he took a couple steps it would just fall off the railing. So, like I said… a very, very good boy.
These two are siblings — adopted, of course — and the best of friends.
Pictures from ‘The Panhandle’, which is a spot in SF where people mostly don’t panhandle. It’s also a place that I hadn’t posted any pictures from until last week, in the decade-plus that this site had been going. It’s a pretty spot, and there are lots of dogs. I should wander down there more often.Unusual to find a pair where the shiba inu is more sociable than the little scrappy terrier. There you have it: fluffenpupper and scruffenpupper.
Happy New Ears Eve! Nobody knows quite what Marcello is, aside from giantly floofy and adorable. I’m guessing golden retriever, but I’m really not sure what else. Husky, maybe?
THE SPOTTY PUPPY LIPS.He is a total fluffy teddy bear. Calm and friendly.Anyway I vote him most likely to be found keeping me warm at night. And leaving about a pound of fur per week in my bed.
