Rosie is a mellow old gal, age 14 years. But she still has some surprises left in her!

This is (probably) only our second Glen of Imaal terrier ever! Stanley is a recent arrival (along with his dad) from the East Coast. He’s definitely a Glen of Imaal — pedigree and everything. I told his dad he should totally line up a blind date with Whiskey. They could splash in mud puddles and violently attack streams of water together. It would be awesome!

His dad said he was a real challenge to take pictures of. And indeed he was. (Yes, sharply slanted street.)
Ran into this fine demoiselle outside of the famous Crossroads Cafe, being quite patient.
Please excuse the somewhat inconsistent posting schedule and short-ish posts… I’ve been trying to fight off a cold, and things have been a little busy.

One of the dog breeds that almost always looks happy, and in this case probably because they almost always ARE.
Ran into this somewhat derpy specimen in a shop window last night, in Berkeley.
Okay, okay, they’re not in a bar, they’re just outside one. They all three met there, and proceeded to sniff butts in high style. I did get the akita’s name (Juneau, age three and a half, a boy) because I had to ask about the breed. I had never seen an akita with husky/malamute coloration before. Neat!
Also, I think the briard might well be Shamus, who was first posted here three years and one day ago!
When I saw Binky, I just had to get some pictures. His mom picked him up instantly, because she knew that I didn’t have a prayer of getting anything but a little blur unless she held him still. Well, after all, he’s only 4 months old, so he has a lot of exploring to do.

This is a classic ‘salt and pepper’ coloration in the schnauzer, but since there’s no schnauzer here, I guess it must be a merle pattern from the Pomeranian.
Bella (8) is a lady, dainty and delicate of mannerism, and of course always fashionably dressed!
My notes say that Bob is ‘probably a malamute/chow/German shepherd/etc mix’. Well, I’m not sure about that, although I can definitely see some parts of those breeds. It also says that he has his own facebook page, ‘bobthedog’. Well, I couldn’t find him, but maybe someone else can. (Edit: one of my awesome commenters found him right here!)
He’s a little shy and nervous around other dogs, but boy does he loooove people!
Saw (and heard) this hummingbird in the back yard of Tommaso & Lisa & Watson‘s house. I think it was an Anna’s (probably a female… edit: Tommaso says male, and that they’ve named him Allen), but I’m not 100% sure.
