Dog of the Day: Poodle

So, I didn’t get a name or an age, but I do recall vividly what breed the owner told me his dog was. This is because I thought, as I was walking away, “Oh god, another of these designer breeds, … Continue reading

Dog of the Day: Zoe the German Shorthaired Pointer Puppy

For some reason, Zoe/Zoey/Zoë/Zooey is one of the more common dog names I’ve seen. Not sure why, but it works for me. This particular Zoe is a 10-month-old German shorthaired pointer who loves long walks and longer runs.

Dog of the Day: Cher the American Pit Bull Terrier/Basset Hound Mix

I don’t know this gal’s name, and the dog tags aren’t helping any (unless her name is ‘SF Dog License’) but she’s awesome. I am like 90% sure I’ve taken pictures of her before, and I may even have posted some, but if … Continue reading

Dog of the Day: Boo the Great Pyrenees

Caturday Supplement: Bebe the Unhappy Grey Tiger Kitten

Autumn and I ran into Bebe late one evening at a local animal shelter and hospital. We were there to scan the microchip of a certain dog that was found wandering the streets of Russian Hill. The only other animal in the room … Continue reading

Dog of the Day: Ike the Incredible Dane

I was meeting Autumn for dinner at a restaurant down on Fillmore Street a couple of weeks ago. I’d been out walking (taking my mind off my discomforts) and was waiting for her. It was already dark (which, at that … Continue reading

Double Dog Day: Wheaten Terrier and French Bulldog

I think I remember this fluffy gal as being a wheaten terrier, although my notes don’t say, and she looks a bit like a fluffier-than-average goldendoodle, too. So who knows? The reason my notes don’t say is because I was too … Continue reading

Double Dog Day: Lulu and Crystal the Schnauzers

Lulu (11) is in red, and Crystal (10) is in the black and white. Sorry about missing caturday. Entirely my fault, no excuses this time.
