Autumn has kitty-sat Luna a couple of times, and was kind enough to take some pictures for me.
I had a rag rug that looked just like this one when I was a kid.
I just wish I’d had a kitty this awesome when I was a kid.
Luna is an avid follower of the order of the red spot.
Eddie is a two-year-old rescue scruffmonster. Too scruffy for a labradoodle. Could be a giant schnauzer mix, maybe. Anyway, he is a real lover.
He was really hard to photograph, because he never wanted to be far enough away from me.
I managed to turn that to my advantage.
Sprout is 8 months old, and I want you to look at this picture carefully and try to guess what he is. I’ll give you the answer in the caption.
This pup’s mother was a FULL DACHSHUND. They’re pretty sure about the father, too: half Chihuahua, half collie. Apparently his siblings looked like dachshunds. Go fig!
Piper (1) is a very inquisitive sort.
This is the first ‘Sprout’ I’ve run across. I love the name.
Sprout had some of the most cynical expressions I’ve ever seen on a dog’s face.
Which is funny because she was anything but.
Little Joey (6) is a country dog in a big city, but he’s figuring things out.
Look at the foozly ears! Almost as long as the hair that grows out of my ears if I don’t trim it.
I got kisses, so I think he’s adapting just fine.
Sundae is a ten-year-old Eskie who I just met today! He is an utterly awesome little fluffball, even if he did try a little bit of covert leg-humping.

I dogsat for Luna earlier this year. She loves swimming. She loves fetch. That means swimming plus fetch is loves squared!
I don’t know why she bothered to shake. She clearly knew she would be jumping back in the water like 20 seconds later.
I think she was still less than a year old when these pictures were taken, but I don’t recall exactly. Anyway, quite young.
We’ve seen Baylie before, but it has been quite a while… the last time she was five months old, and now she’s four years old. Still the same goofy gal, though!
She has that expression all the time.

Eminently distractible, too. She spent about half of my photos looking away from the camera.
Goofy faces, all the time. Nobody who lives with this dog could possibly be sad for long.
SO. FLUFFY.
There seems to be the weirdest stomach bug going around here. Low level, but at least on me it has lasted FOREVER. Yugh!
I wonder what breed would win a ‘softest fur’ competition? Samoyeds are certainly a strong contender.
