According to my notes, Lima is 8 years old and 9 pounds in weight, and likes suckering other dogs into chasing her and then running three times as fast as they can.
I love the fact that in all these pictures, she’s flipping around so fast that her little strings can’t keep up.
Don’t know how I lucked out and got these without just getting a blur.
Some dogs really do need clothes. Like ones with almost no fur and zero body fat.
I have only posted two pugs since 2013. This is quite remiss of me, and probably makes me a bad person.
Very outgoing pup… she waddled over to everyone who stopped, or was walking by slow enough.
One of the strangest-looking dog eyes I’ve ever seen. Not sure if she’s blind or not, but that’s not a reflection, the eye looks the same in all my pictures.
Pugs have very expressive faces, but I feel like, just like bulldogs and other saggy-faced breeds, most of what I read into their faces comes from me.
It’s hard enough to believe in a Catahoua/Dachshund mix, but what’s even more amazing is this: the first time I ran into Cola was over a year ago… and at that point he was already a year old! (None of those pictures came out, unfortunately.) So he’s not actually a puppy, he just looks like one.

Chewy! He’s 8, and adorable, and there’s nothing whatsoever wrong with him. So why was he in a baby carriage? And why was a woman walking along next to the baby carriage carrying a baby? Well, apparently the little group had someplace to get to and a limited amount of time to get there, and Chewbacca’s legs were just too short to keep up, and it turned out to be easier to carry the baby and push Chewbacca in the pram.
Hey, we all deserve a little spoiling now and again.

Autumn and I were in a relatively minor car accident Saturday night: we were creamed from behind while stopped in traffic on a freeway. We’re both stiff, sore, and annoyed, but so far at least we don’t seem too badly injured. The car still moves under its own power, but it makes ominous noises and the back hatch no longer closes, and there are various other issues. It’s vintage 1997, so I suspect that it may be totaled, which is a shame because the engine was in quite good shape, and I really don’t want to have to buy another car. Blah.
Ah well. It could have been much worse.

I’m cat-sitting Moose and Mimi again this weekend, and things are going swimmingly: this morning neither of them even tried to maul me when I was busily forcing medications down their throats. Though they did do a very good job of making me feel guilty about it.
Still, Moose forgave me rather quickly when cheek-scratches were on offer.
Both Moose and Mimi have those giant tawny headlights.
You can just see how vicious and depraved he is. I am amazed I escaped with my life!

This was actually him wanting to go kiss Autumn. I mean ‘kill’. Yes. Of course. Hence the name. (I guess calling him ‘Kisser’ would have just been silly.)
I did remember to ask this pup’s name, but I think I must have been squealing too loud to hear the answer. I do remember that he was three months old, though.
Edit: A little bird tells me down in the comments that his name is Mowgli.
Another ‘Adam spots puppy across the street, Adam runs across crowded street to get to puppy’. This time Autumn did too.
SPOTTY PUPPY BELLY ALERT.
Emma is the store dog for an antique-y rare-book-map-and-print store in North Beach called ‘Schein And Schein‘. She welcomes everyone with polite grace, or at least did while we were there.
North Beach is a bit on the touristy side, but this is the closest thing it has to a real commercial district. Same street Al’s Attire is on.
Not tied up… just quite well-behaved.
This pup can already serve as a service dog for me. No need to train him further, I’ll just wrap him up and take him home now, thanks.
I was so distracted by the cute that I never did get his name.
It’s going to take a lot of training, I think. He just flumped over like this as soon as I showed the least bit of interest.
Dogs aren’t quite as flexible as cats, but they sure do like some silly positions.
