Warner (1, male) has such distinctive markings!

Dr. Shepherd (Doc to his friends) is 8 years old, and is quite a remarkably pleasant gentleman to be around. And he’s adoptable, from the Milo Foundation. There’s only one problem: he’s a people dog, not really a dog dog. He doesn’t hate ’em, he just isn’t entirely comfortable around them… he’ll give them a sniff and go on about his business. But when he’s in a shelter, he’s constantly surrounded by other dogs, and so he’s not at his best. It’s tough to get adopted when you’re feeling uncomfortable all the time.
Edit: I’m going to leave Doc up here for another day, just to give him a little more exposure. Quick, adopt him!
Goji (5 months) is a silly boy!
Sumo is ELEVEN. That just boggled me. I was hanging out in the Post Office waiting in line, and Sumo was just capering around and acting like he was eleven MONTHS old. Except not as rude. But so happy and so energetic and just so sweet. I want a Sumo!
I’m dogsitting in Sacramento! I was a little ambivalent about it at first because I remembered these two as being… quite a handful, when I sat for them a few years ago. But I am happy to report that although they are still crazy after all these years, they are not in fact nearly as crazy, and aside from a little leash-tugging, which I can handle, and a whole lot of ‘accidentally’ stealing all of the covers and trying their best to shove me out of bed, which I can put up with — mostly — they are a lot easier to deal with. And a whole lot of fun, especially when I’m petting both of them and they are both wagging their entire bodies.
Chiba (2, a girl) is a real cutie, although I definitely wouldn’t have guessed the breed mix.
