Winnie is a very good girl. Very. She is a five-month-old golden retriever, which is generally a giant bundle of crazy uncontrollable impulses. And yet she played with me and let me pet her and even rub her belly and yet never once did she try to leap up on me.
I complemented her on her good behavior and her parents seemed very proud. And happy that someone noticed. She also knows ‘sit’ very well, especially when there is a treat in sight.Of course, there were momentary lapses.
I have to admit that I didn’t recognize Yvee as a repeat customer when I ran into her. Her mom had to point it out. I feel like such a bad dog blogger! She’s 2 now but every bit as fluffycuddly. And her instagram is still awesome.
She lives right near me, too!Aww don’t be sad little pup!
Haven’t seen a flat-coat around in a while, and Hanalei (2, and is that like in Puff the Magic Dragon, I wonder?) is a fine specimen.
In other news, it looks like Twitter has decided to eliminate the free integration with WordPress with zero notice to anyone. I’m going to have to see if I can find some other way to share my stuff on Twitter, if I even want to. I know I mostly don’t talk opinions on here, but I definitely have them about Elon Musk, ooooh my yes. What, does he think I should be paying a few hundred a month in order to post cute dog pictures that people look at for free?
Personally I think they should be called fluffle-butted retrievers, but nobody asked me.
I took pictures of Remy on Valentine’s Day, which seems fair since he’s such a love.
I didn’t know Brittanies came in black and white. I’ve been blogging about them since 2009 and I still learn something new about dogs at least once a week.
Whuf. It’s been a hell of a month and I am ready for it to be over. I’ve been sick for almost all of it (17 days and counting) and was just feeling better yesterday when the power went out in my apartment which led (for various reasons) for me to get five hours of sleep. And also led to be being unable to post any dogs. If I’m lucky I’ll get ten hours tonight and maybe things will look better in the morning.
In the mean time, have a couple of pups whose names I didn’t get.
Yes, the sunlight in the background does make him look darker, but the setter really did have very dark red fur.
I had absolutely no idea that Doberman pinschers came in blond! I thought she was some kind of variation on a Ibizan or pharaoh hound, but nope, Sapphire (3) is all Dobie.
