Twitter and Facebook photo-sharing still aren’t working. Frustrating, but I’ll figure it out eventually.
On the subject of photos, I did a little face-painting for Halloween.
Not bad, but not quite as effective as I’d hoped. It’s been some time since I have done theatrical makeup.
I was wandering through Berkeley last weekend and I ran across a group who was looking for kitty parents.
All the kitties were surprisingly friendly. A lot of the time, cats who are dragged out into the sun tend to cower, at least a little bit.
I love those eyes.
There is a bit of funny graffiti on the sidewalk not far from my home. Tidus seems to like it almost as much as I do.
I am actually not sure, but I think that graffiti is younger than Tidus.
Dragon (2) had absolutely no problems cuddling up in his bag as long as he got a lot of attention from passing strangers.
I was out walking with a friend of mine, and she suddenly stopped and pointed and said ‘Dog!’
She doesn’t even like dogs. But she knows I do.
I gather Dragon goes to work like this quite often.
This little pup is awfully grouchy for a poodle. He wouldn’t even let me near!
My Twitter account seems to be having some issues… pictures aren’t uploading properly. I’ll have to try messing around with it some more later.
That little snarl may be the most adorable expression I’ve seen in weeks.
You have to love the suit, though.
Riley (6 months old) does NOT care about shame, or cones for that matter. Riley cares about treats, people, and dogs, and treats. And did I mention treats?

All right. Things are working weirdly, but they’re working. And well enough that I don’t feel compelled to chase down the last few little bits of whackiness.
Speaking of whackiness, I bought season tickets to the Exploratorium After Dark series. Some neat adults-only science stuff every Thursday evening, and rather than feeling like I have to spend three hours there and see everything in order to get my money’s worth, I can just drop by and poke around for half an hour if I want.
Plus there are things there that look really neat at night.
If that’s a model of a molecule, I freely admit that I have no idea what it is.
UNNNNGGGHH. The site was down for OVER TWO DAYS. And of that time, I was working on trying to fix it for about … 35 hours. I wasn’t even on any strong pain killers!
All of this just to upgrade from Mac OS X 10.10 to macOS 10.13. Apple RAIDs and incompatible server versions and disallowed kexts, oh my.
The good news is, we appear to be back up and running, and won’t have to go through anything like this again for a while. After all, the last time was in 2012.
Welp. That upgrade attempt didn’t go well. Going to have to try again tomorrow.

Some site news: I am taking advantage of some recovery-from-surgery time to upgrade the DoSF server. While high on codeine. Therefore, there’s a fair chance that the site might be down some or all of tomorrow.
Now, on to the dog! I don’t know who or what she is, but isn’t she pretty?
I am pretty sure she was either blind or deaf. (Many white dogs are one or both.)
I seem to vaguely recall blind. But whichever it was sure didn’t seem to keep her from her cheese puffs.
