This pup was at my HQ, protecting the folks at Airbnb from the terrible dangers of people… planting bombs and blowing up Airbnb. Or something.
Anyway, he turned out to be the kind of police dog that was allowed to play with people, so I’m totally okay with that.
Shreck was not the best-behaved police dog I’d ever seen. A tiny bit unruly, maybe.
I got to get a selfie with him, though. Although it took like twenty tries.
I ran into this pup on my bus ride to work one day. And then a couple times the next week.
She’s a really well-behaved pup for her age!
She was happy to come over and sit with me. I wonder why?
Raina (6 months) is an adorable border collie/husky mix who works at Airbnb, as one of their many Happiness Officers.
Have I ever mentioned on here that I have an ultrasonic (only dogs can hear it) squeakie toy on my desk at work for Good Dogs to play with? Because I do. It’s that red thing there. Raina was a Good Dog, by which I mean that she didn’t try to shred it. She just kept squeaking it over and over again. Or so we assume, since we couldn’t hear anything. TECHNOLOGY!
Look at that sprawl. That’s some high-quality sprawlage right there.
It took about fifteen seconds of rooting around for her to find the squeaker.
She did give it up when I asked for it back. But she was not pleased.
Full grown pup, but they don’t come a whole lot smaller!
That pup would fit in my coat pocket.
Chalk another one I’ve never heard of up to the ol blawg: Remus here is a one-year-old American Alsatian. He might look a little familiar: turns out he’s the one I saw in wags and mistook for a Caucasian shepherd. He also has another connection to the blog: his folks used to have a Bernese mountain dog named Moby, who was featured here back in 2012. Apparently he passed away recently, at the ripe old age of twelve (pretty great for a Berner!) Remus is their new friend.
Remus was camped out in the doorway of my favorite cheese shop. In a rather hilarious position.
Penny is a Sheltie pup, as is evidenced by her Instagram screen name, @pennythesheltiepup! She’s eight months old, and hadn’t visited the city too many times when I ran into her, hence the reason she was so nervous when I ran into her. Specifically, there was some really loud construction going on.
Hence I did not, alas, get to pet this pup. Terrible!
Tail tucked so firmly that she looks like she has an Australian shepherd butt.
This is one of the Airbnb corgis, but I’m not sure which one. His humans were talking and I didn’t have the heart to interrupt. Of course, I also didn’t have the heart to NOT pet the pup.
Look at those eyebrows. Are they for real? I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that on a corgi.
One of Autumn’s family cats, Evil, has passed away. She was grumpy sometimes, and tended to avoid the more populated areas of the house, due to having some issues with being run over by rampaging dogs. But overall I liked her. She was a good kitty.
She made it to twenty years old or so. A pretty good run.
I took these two adorable pups for a walk as a favor to Autumn last week. They were both sweetie-pies, at least as soon as I got out their harnesses.
Honey is … 11, I think? And a delighted dawg.
This, of course, is Ryley, 2, a puzzled pup.
They liked wrestling and tugging and all sorts of fun games.
They got along great, too.
Khal (only six months old!) has a nickname, apparently: DOG THRAKI, WOOF LORD!
That’s a six month old puppy? So BIG.
