This kitty was very, very focused on her exercise. AKA viciously murdering a perfectly innocent little kitty-toy.
This is at the SPCA. I walked away and came back 25 minutes later. She was still at it.
Not that I’m one to judge. I wish any of my hobbies made me THAT happy.
I love the liver-and-white dalmatians… they look just a little less sinister than some of the black and white ones do.
Occasionally I’m walking by a store and I just have to walk in because of a particularly cute dog. I often wonder what the shop owners think…
She’s way too tiny for such a weighty name! Maybe she’ll let me call her ‘Mina’.
Italian greyhounds look so delicate, and the puppies look like they couldn’t stand up to a stiff wind.

With a little luck I’ll get to see Wilhelmina again. With a lot of luck, I’ll get to see her tearing around a dog park like a little maniac.
Yay, it’s my birthday. And as a special added bonus, I seem to have discovered how many years my limited warranty had left on it! (Adam is having some health issues, and is consequently somewhat testy. Beware. If you are not a dog, it might be wise to stay far, far away.)
Fortunately, I have Reggie (female, 4 years, assuming I’ve got the right dog here) to cheer me up.
Reggie was very, very happy to see us. (Autumn was with me, but is off-frame.)

Saw this pretty pup outside of Crossroads Cafe. The glare was murder, but I did my best.
Edit: Sheesh, how did I label this a Sheltie in some places and a collie in others? Crazy!
I was on my way to lunch with a friend and ex-coworker when I saw this pup. And then, while I was having lunch with her, I saw a blue merle collie out the window.
You really do just want to curl up with her and bask in the sun for a while.
Vegas is a puggle, and a Very Important Pup: she’s the shop dog at Al’s Attire, a neat little tailor/cobbler’s shop in North Beach. I got a pair of custom-made shoes there, and although the first pair is a little pricey, it turns out they’ll make more pairs for you for significantly less. But I haven’t had to test that, since this pair has lasted me four years so far. Not bad!
Vegas has intermittent cherry-eye, and is a puggle. These two things combine to make her look sad a lot.
Still, I think she’s a pretty happy dog, all things considered.
There are a lot of pretty murals in San Francisco. I’m posting this one in celebration of the fact that there are still grey foxes in the San Francisco Presidio.
It’s not a grey fox, but hey, you can’t have everything.
I ran across this fine feline in the window of Bow Wow Meow. I had no idea they even had a store cat, but there she was, being all cute and stuff. Apparently she hangs out there during the day, but spends all her time hiding from customers.
(Had some technical difficulties during the day. Thankfully, one of the things that they proved is that my backup solution is working quite well.)

Lulu’s a schnoodle! Schnoodle schnoodle schnoodle-y doo! She was 3 years old when this picture was taken. And, like yesterday’s, this one was also taken outside of Java Beach.

The ears are totally incongruous.
Another from last year. Brasco (male, 5) was hanging out outside of Java Beach, which is a little coffee shop/restaurant that’s about as far as you can get from my home and still be in San Francisco. Which is a shame because it is awesome, especially its pasties. Yum!
And Brasco obviously loves Java Beach just as much as Java Beach loves Brasco. I love places like that.
He is obviously well known at Java Beach.

That’s a dog who knows exactly what he likes.
Can you see the husky, the German shepherd, and the Lab? They all show through surprisingly well.

His dad treated me to a little demonstration. He made a little howling sound and Brasco went “oh god oh my god yes let’s howl YES I LOVE HOWLING OH MY GOD!’ (Or howls to that effect.)
