A new breed for us: Coco is a Sapsali, or a Sapsari, or a Sapsaree, or something along those lines. It is a Korean dog, declared a national treasure by South Korea, and was traditionally believed to chase away or dispel evil spirits. Coco was 7 months old in these pictures, and can chase away my evil spirits any time she likes.
A lot of the jindos I’ve met have been standoffish. Coco was decidedly not.
I think she was recently shorn.
These three were murder to get pictures of, since either I was moving or the dogs were. But I had to post something, because they were just such a gorgeous trio.
Their nicknames are ‘Crazy Ellie’, ‘Perfect Pica’, and Winter is a recent convert and hasn’t got a nickname yet. She’s blind, but hasn’t let that stop her, and Pica acts as her seeing eye dog. Which is awesome.
This is as close as I have to a picture of all three of them. Winter is in the front, Pica is next to her, and that’s Ellie being crazy in the back.
Both of these two (Pica and Winter) are rescues. Winter is a full German shepherd, and Pica is supposedly half-wolf, half-husky/German shepherd mix.
And Ellie, left, is a family dog, and is apparently 3/4 husky, 1/4 wolf. I dunno, they all look like big awesome white cuddly puppies to me.
Misaa awesome! (No, no, stop, no more channeling Jar Jar.)
I was out walking with a friend from work when I ran across Misaa, so I didn’t get much info.
I don’t remember why she wasn’t on her own feet, but I feel like it wasn’t a sad reason.
Maybe he just had too much ground to cover. Whatever the reason, she sure looks happy about it, doesn’t she?
She tried really hard to give me a nose shot, or at least a smooch, but she couldn’t reach.
Ungh. This head cold is giving me the works. I need a cat to curl up with.
Pretty kitty! And sitting, I think, on a fleece I donated to the SPCA. Go me!
Berkeley is 10 weeks old in this picture. What more need I say? (How about ‘AWWWWW!’)
I think Berkeley is going to be quite a large dog when he finishes growing.

I have never seen a Greater Swiss like Roxy (10 years old!) before. I guess according to the AKC she’s ‘disqualified’… we’ll just add this to the list of ‘disqualifications that make dogs infinitely more awesome’.

I have no notes for this one, and I have absolutely no idea what she is, but those ears are hilarious.
The splotch of white is awesome too.
That is the face of a dog who can get whatever she wants.
Feeling a bit under the weather, so I need something super-fluffy to cuddle up to. I think this pup fits the bill.

She’s well-named: she was just a little bitty Pip, at 14 weeks of age, and I sure let out a squeak when I saw her. As did every other person to walk by.
