Pancakes! When last we saw him, he was just barely a year old. Now he’s two! And would you look at that… he has pretty much the same interests he did last year. In fact, the same pose.
The Chihuahua was tearing around, running circles around three other dogs, and just generally having a grand old time.
Fwip! The ears are convertible!
Not sure I’ve ever seen a Chihuahua in a jumper before.
I said I’d post an update, and here one is. She is almost all grown up now, and still totally adorable.

No comment on the name, but I love the ears. Kinsey (a girl) is 4 months old, and let me tell you what, when it starts getting warm in the city (hey, it gets above 80 sometimes!) I would love to have ears like that. They act like giant radiators.
I bet she’s a handful in more ways than one.
Wow, a new breed! Haven’t had one of those for a while. Apparently the ‘pudelpointer’ was bred in the late 1800s from poodles and pointers (mostly English pointers) by Baron von Zedlitz, which sounds like an evil mad genius name so I’m glad he contented himself with breeding awesome dogs.
Also, if there’s anyone out there poking around my blog whose dog I’ve taken a picture of but not posted, leave your dog’s name in the comments and I’ll post him or her soon. I don’t keep people waiting when I know they’re actually coming by.
Autumn and I were shopping for shoes at REI when I was distracted by Lulu.
I am so predictable.
So Autumn and I have some new friends/clients who live just down the street, and I got to dogsit for them a couple of weeks ago. They have a pair of little bitty dogs, both of whom are friendly, at least to everyone who isn’t a large dog. (Bit of a Napoleon complex there, I think!) I got a bunch of pictures but I thought none had turned out, and then I found a few on my phone that were amusing enough to post.
I got ready for bed, and when I went into the bedroom, this is what I saw.
I stirred them up a bit, and then stepped out of the room again. When I came back, Henry was here…

Ranger’s first birthday wasn’t too long ago, but he’s doomed to eternal ridiculous cuteness on account of his being a miniature Aussie.
Every picture I got of him was in a shadow. Ah well, he’s still adorable even in a shadow.

Last week we had ‘Poof the Pomeranian’, and this week we have ‘Fuzz the Pomeranian’. Fuzz is 5, and mellow and happy. And FUZZY.
The guy behind Fuzz is the dad of Walker and Munsen, I believe. Being goofy.

So I admit it: I fell down on the job and didn’t remember to get this fine kitty’s name. The tag says either ‘Mathews’ or ‘Mathew 5’, so it might be a bible verse or the kitty’s name. Either way, I remember him because he was totally mellow sitting in mom’s lap at a cafe, just hanging out. Most cats aren’t comfortable out of their territory, but he seemed happy as a clam.
Embarrassingly enough, I don’t recall if he was blind or just had his eyes closed a lot of the time.
The world needs more cats who don’t mind being taken to outdoor cafes. It makes it SO much easier for me to get pictures.

Short post today, because I am wiped out! But you still get an awesome dog. Meet Cayleigh Mae! She’s six, and happy as the day is long.

First: Good Tidus tidings! His doctor says that he is doing well, and should be able to start doing a bit of walking for himself sometime in the next week or so. For an injury that could have paralyzed his back half for life, that’s so great! Hooray, Tidus! Autumn and I got him a ‘get well soon’ squeaky-toy, and he is apparently enjoying it enough to drive his parents to distraction. Yay!
In celebration of this good news, I am posting a celebratory 3-month-old corgi puppy, whose name I didn’t catch because I was too busy squealing like an elementary school girl.
I was walking home from work, and I stopped and did a double take: it was a TEENY CORGI in a BAG!
