Phew! Computer’s not 100% done, but it’s damned close, and the new setup is working quite nicely.
In celebration, here is a 7-year-old beagle with a nice nose. I have some pictures of a friend of his, too, which you’ll see later on.

My computer is back to, well, ‘close enough’. It’s not at 100% yet, but it’s close enough for me to go back to blogging from it. So… full post tomorrow! Yay!
And when this thing is finally done, it is going to be pretty amazing. Better than it was before.
In the mean time, here is a bird dog taking a cat nap in a bar.
The things I do for you guys. Sheesh!
My computer is nearly limping along. With any luck, tomorrow it will be operational, although it will still be missing its SSD (it has an SSD for the OS and a regular HD for my photos. The HD now has a clone of the SSD on it as a backup… quite convenient in case this happens again).
I am not looking forward to getting the SSD set back up… last time it took me almost a week by itself. And involved a tinfoil hat. (For the drive, not for me.)
Here is a picture that shows how I feel after a week of doing nothing but working on my computer.
Just spent all day and well into the night trying to get my computing life back in order. Tomorrow I find out how effective the effort was. Wish me luck.
In the mean time, here are two vicious mean nasty adorable cuddly drooly friendly pups for you.
Quite a pair. Sissy-Pants is a sweet 8-year-old goofball, and Sandy is a super-friendly 4-year-old Eskie with only three legs. (She gets around just fine though: she can outrun Sissy-Pants!)
If you know anyone who might be interested in adopting an awesome little pup, post a comment and I’ll try to get you in touch with the right people.
(And yes, computer still dead despite a great deal of effort and blah blah. Someday soon I’ll get it fixed. I hope.)
She was so cute I forgot to get her name! (Yes, computer is still borked.)
Edit: Ran into mom again. Her name is Ginger!
Computer still dead. Fortunately there are plenty of awesome dogs I can grab shots of on my phone. Ajax being a case in point.
Well, the computer is still on vacation but the show must go on. So today I grabbed a few pictures of this little guy on my camera. No caption or hover-text support, though, so I’ll just give you a quick thumbnail.
Chamaco (forgot to ask the origin of the name) is a 2-year-old Italian greyhound. And he is one of the cuddliest small dogs I’ve ever met. If you give him half a chance he will lean on you, tilt his head way back for chin-scratching, and give you smooches for as long as you’re willing to hold still.
Computer is now in about 125 pieces. Should be in 125 pieces, but this is less reassuring than it sounds because one piece is broken in two and another is missing.
In the mean time, have a wee bit more mastiff. His name is Doug.
Yes, Doug the dog.
Posting will be delayed, possibly for a day or two. My laptop has elected to go on a work stoppage.
In the mean time, have a picture of an Italian mastiff. Consider this a teaser.
