Still snuggly after all these years!
The second dog in the last picture is this German shepherd I posted earlier this year, who likes doing funny things with her water bowl.

Yay! I’ve finished off the Macy’s kittens BEFORE the next crop arrived!
Two Yorkshire terriers meet a Labrador retriever mix and work out things pretty nicely.
Ugh. I got a flu shot two days ago. Halfway through yesterday I felt like I’d been dragged through a knothole and it’s not a lot better now. I read that you can get some symptoms of the flu from a flu shot, but this feels like the real thing! (Which you can’t get because it’s a killed-virus.) Don’t know if I was already coming down with something (though I’d been getting plenty of sleep) or if this really is just a nasty side effect. Either way, UGH!
In celebration of Autumn’s birthday, something unusual for today. (Plus I just love these guys because they’re awesome.)
So cuddly! What I don't understand is how they can sleep with all that grunting and snoring going on.
A rare view of marine mammals making use of the 'axis of snorgulation', also known (on Cute Overload) as the 'axis of snorgling'. (Go look it up. We'll wait.)
I swear, it's just like something out of a Disney animated musical. Except in this case the words to the song were "BLOOOOOORP!"
Autumn will need to weigh in on this one. I like him, though.
Sorry for the brief post. Lots to do.
I just discovered that it’s been well over half a year since I’ve posted a husky! THIS MUST NOT STAND!
Especially while Asia here can also sit, lie down, roll over, do ‘downward-facing dog’, and fetch you your slippers. And possibly your neighbor’s slippers too.
When I told Asia's dad that I wanted to take some pictures, he immediately said, 'Up!' and Asia hopped up onto the stone wall for easier viewing. Smart dog!
Asia's new to the city... apparently her dad just moved here from back East. Think he was still looking for an apartment when I met him. Good luck with that...
Well, this one’s a bit of a puzzle. I ran into her (?) almost a year ago now. In fact, on the same day, I ran into an Australian cattle dog mix named McNabb and a Australian kelpie mix named Sable. This could be either of the two. I’m guessing it’s Sable because I’m guessing it’s a girl, and I’m guessing McNabb is a boy’s name.
I thought I ought to post these before Macy’s put out this year’s crop.
Remember: adoptable kittens (from the SFSPCA!) and puppies in the Macy’s Union Square windows, starting on Thanksgiving weekend and ending around New Year’s. Come visit, and bring home a kitten… or puppy… or both!
This one, as I recall, was the most entertaining of all. Chased people's fingers through the glass, etc. Also meant that it was nearly impossible to get a non-blurry shot.
The breed mix of this snorgly and cheerful young dog is a total guess on mom’s part. The blue tongue doesn’t necessarily mean chow, but in this case I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
Funny thing about this pup: I was up in Sebastopol for a guitar workshop, and I ran into her out in front of the super-yummy downtown handmade Screaming Mimi’s Ice Cream. But it turns out she’s not just a ‘dog of the San Francisco Bay Area’, she’s a dog of SF… she lives in South Beach, right near where I work. She was just up visiting Sebastopol, same as me.
