Autumn and I stopped by Mountain Lake Park, in the Inner Richmond, last weekend, in the hopes of seeing the monthly corgi meetup group there. Alas, we must have come too late (although we got there at about 1:50 and it starts at 1!) because we saw no corgis. What we saw instead was an interesting assortment, including Lilah from yesterday, and this fine two-year-old Weimaraner mix.
Someone has a bit of a ball fixation. And a big goofy 'I'M AT THE PARK!' grin.
Juno liked it under that bench. Even though she clonked her head on it several times.
Funny: you can tell she got a lot of her muzzle shape from the German shepherd part, but her ear is 100% pure Weimaraner. (If Weimaraners were about ten times as big as they are, their ears would make lovely blankets. Although they'd be pretty expensive to feed.)
She doesn't have 'down ears'... she has 'up and down and back and forth and all over the place' ears.
Lilah’s a thirteen-year-old Husky, with just enough timber wolf (from three or four generations back) to make her even more awesome.
She’s a lover, though, not a fighter. And quite dignified. And gorgeous.
Funny, she looks a surprising amount like a collie.

Nino! I would not have guessed Ibizan hound, but once they told me it was obvious. Apparently he’s a rescued Taiwanese street dog, rescued when he was a puppy. He’s 1 year old now, and settling into his new life quite well, although he is still a wee bit skittish.
He's got the 'canine sprawl' down pat.

Yellow eyes plus black facial markings makes for a rather grumpy-looking cat.

Eventually his parents decided he'd learned his lesson (or forgotten what he did, either way) and let him come play with me.
Olive is in her terrible twos. Which in her case means that she always wants to sit at the big people table and participate in the conversation.
She was quite an obedient dog, actually. Stuck to the chair pretty reliably, despite temptation.
She also, astonishingly enough, was more interested in me than she was in the food on mom's table.
Olive is a kisser. It's amazing her tongue isn't worn down to a nub.

Her biggest failing seems to be a bit of difficulty with spacial relations.
She just didn't seem to be able to figure out that her tongue wasn't long enough to lick me from there.
Two tailless wonders in a row. Dezi is 12 weeks old, and his cuteness is overwhelming.
