Big fluffy monster! I can imagine any number of great halloween costumes for Terra.
I know it looks like it was windy, but it really wasn't.
I mistook Terra for a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle on first sight. Similar size, similar fur, and similar 'I have just met you and I LOVE YOU!' attitude.
Some dogs pose naturally. Terra's got a great eye for composition.
I am still ill, and thus in need of a pick-me-up. And what could be better than an OH MY GOD CUTE Australian shepherd puppy, chasing leaves!
Not shown (because my camera wasn’t out fast enough) was what he was doing just before I caught up with him: he had a big leaf in his mouth, and every few steps, he would run around in front of his owner and hold it up, as if to say, “Look at this! Isn’t this awesome!” So. Adorable.

Getting back to some more recent pictures… I ran into this pup on Market Street, and was instantly smitten. I had to run to catch up. Sadly, it was pretty dark, so most of my pictures came out blurry, but these two capture some of the amazing cute. (His dad is the one who provided the breed info… I would have guessed that there was some corgi or dachshund or something in him, since he was pretty long and squat.)
Edit: Wow. Had the wrong info attached to the pictures! Luckily Dad set me straight in pretty short order. I *love* the name. And indeed he does have something long and squat in him: basset hound.
Look at the seating position. It makes my back hurt just looking at him.
And there's the happy face that he was wearing for 99% of the time that I saw him.

The second dog in the last picture is this German shepherd I posted earlier this year, who likes doing funny things with her water bowl.
Such a poofly example of the breed.

Two Yorkshire terriers meet a Labrador retriever mix and work out things pretty nicely.
Ugh. I got a flu shot two days ago. Halfway through yesterday I felt like I’d been dragged through a knothole and it’s not a lot better now. I read that you can get some symptoms of the flu from a flu shot, but this feels like the real thing! (Which you can’t get because it’s a killed-virus.) Don’t know if I was already coming down with something (though I’d been getting plenty of sleep) or if this really is just a nasty side effect. Either way, UGH!
After a tense moment or two, the three of them got down to serious happy sniffing.
In celebration of Autumn’s birthday, something unusual for today. (Plus I just love these guys because they’re awesome.)

Polo is twelve years old. And just as ridiculously cute as he was when he was twelve weeks old.
I am convinced that half of the charm of a Pomeranian is that they always LOOK happy.
And I think the other half is that they always ARE happy.
It also helps that they bear a distinct resemblance to both red pandas and foxes.

I just discovered that it’s been well over half a year since I’ve posted a husky! THIS MUST NOT STAND!
Especially while Asia here can also sit, lie down, roll over, do ‘downward-facing dog’, and fetch you your slippers. And possibly your neighbor’s slippers too.
When I told Asia's dad that I wanted to take some pictures, he immediately said, 'Up!' and Asia hopped up onto the stone wall for easier viewing. Smart dog!
I bet the racing stripes on the face make her go faster.
Asia's new to the city... apparently her dad just moved here from back East. Think he was still looking for an apartment when I met him. Good luck with that... 😛
