I got this pup’s name, but the note for that day somehow just vanished from my phone even as I watched. So weird.
Anyway, I do remember that he’s some kind of scruffy-terrier/pit bull terrier mix.
I also recall that he was very, very dubious about me.
Bark bark bark! Sheesh. I must be losing my touch from all this dog-isolation.
The Chauncinator! Chauncey knows how to work the refs: he has the long face down to an art.
Chauncey is also good at resting his face in a water bowl for surprisingly long periods of time. And blowing bubbles.
And drooling. All over.
Cookie (short for Cookies And Cream Ice Cream!) is an eight-year-old Great Dane puppy. Why ‘puppy’? Well, apparently she had walked several miles when I ran across her, and was getting tired of walking… she wanted to run!
I could tell she was still energetic… it took a fair amount of doing to get her to sit.
She’s not huge for a Dane, but she’s got a lot of presence.
Someone really likes the temperature of the water out here in the the chilly Pacific.
A very intense husky.
A lot happier than yesterday’s muzzled pup. (And so’s his ma!)
Happy or stoned. Or, more likely, both.
Someone was being carefully controlled at CorgiCon (a couple of years back). What a terrible, terrible thing to do to a corgi!
Actually I think the reason for the muzzle is ‘constantly hoovering up anything left on the sand, food or not’.
Amelia Bedelia is a happy memory from my childhood, and Amelia Earhart, well, everybody knows about her. But this pup is half Amelia Bedelia and half Amelia Earhart, plus she’s HALF EAR AND ALL HEART!
She’s also only eight months old and has a ALL the energy.
Ran into Ferdie (8 months) just the other day. She is an active little puffball.
Don’t let the grey beard fool you, she’s just a young pup!
There really are feet under all that fluff, I promise.
Someone got a brushing. Looking good!
Black dogs in the sun are murder to photograph.
I ran into Eleanor (4 months at the time) outside of a local pet store. We went in together!
Eleanor had just gone to CorgiCon a few days before this picture was taken. She was still smiling from it!
She was also still hungry from it.
Or possibly that was just from being a corgi.
