The Brixton on Second in San Francisco, a new location of a neat little place, will be having a ‘Yappy Hour’ this coming Friday from 4 to 7, in honor of ‘World Animal Day’. Their patio will be reserved, and they’ll be donating 10% of the proceeds to the SF SPCA.

Banjo is 7, and was rescued from the streets of Taiwan when he was just a pup. Some settling must have occurred in shipping, because he has almost no legs! (Or maybe he’s just a corgi mix?) His folks had him DNA tested which said that he had some chow (which I’m not sure about: usually chow mixes even a couple generations back have purple spots on their tongues). But it also said that he was 60% ‘unknown’. I think I’m going to have to go with corgi plus collie, because of the coloration. Could be some golden in there too, but then where does that sable come from?
Corgi cheer, certainly.
And a bit of the corgi ‘tude, too.

Vienna (4 months) just wanted to have fun. And a rawhide chew. But mostly fun.
Very talented for her age, huh?
Murphy is a 5-year-old Irish setter who is very, very skittish around strangers. Poor pup doesn’t know what he’s missing out on, in the pet-loving streets of San Francisco.
I quite like the composition. Almost ‘American Gothic’. So I guess the skittishness wasn’t all negative.
Coco is five months old. She isn’t fully grown yet, but she isn’t going to get a huge amount bigger than she is now. But she sure has a whole Great-Dane-load of attitude!

Sorry for skipping the important Caturday crowd, but I ran into Rosie today, on her birthday, and I just had to post some pictures of the birthday girl!
Rosie had just finished a birthday cookie when I caught up with her.
Eminently distractible. Another dog walked by just as I was shooting these.
I have about twenty pictures of this pup. In some of them he’s blurry, in some just his tail is blurry, in some he’s facing half away from me, but in all of them he has this ridiculous grin on his face.
I asked why he was on-leash. Apparently he ‘doesn’t have the best recall’.
No idea what he’s mixed with, but isn’t he a handsome pup?
I say this every time I feature one, but I call these guys ‘Hula-Hula Cat-Dogs’.
I was sad because I didn’t get to see him off the leash and running around the beach like a nutbar.
I dogsat for the two of these and I’m not 100% sure of their names, which makes me a bad person. But I do think the little scruffer is Horacio (or possibly Horatio?) and the big goofball is Dara.
Horacio the Yorkie is an older pup, Dara is a young goofball. And Horacio steals all of Dara’s food because of course he does.
