I walked up to Sky’s dad and said ‘Wow, that’s a petite husky! Or is she still a puppy?’ And he told me that she was a fully-grown Pomsky, which, well, wow. For a Pomsky she’s huuuuuge! Skinny, though, under all that fluff.

I have been remiss in my posts. So sorry! It’s complicated being a vagrant migrant temporarily displaced person, and taking care of a giant ball of goof and love is a task too! But I will soldier on.
Today, say hello to Georgie (10), a pup I ran into earlier today myself. She is actually a San Francisco resident, though she, like me, has been temporarily displaced to Berkeley due to complications with her living arrangements, to whit her folks going off on a cruise without her. Shame on them! I bet Georgie would have been delighted to come along.
Posting from my phone, which doesn’t seem to allow captions or hover text? Anyway, I got several good pictures of Georgie seated, but I think this one captures her essence better: broad, gentle smile, broad, gentle wag.
I am dog-sitting! I’m in a lovely house in Berkeley, conveniently a block away from a hospital (just in case I klutz it up!) and two blocks from an apparently-very-good Ethiopian restaurant. We’ll try that in the next couple days. And I have a great friend: Lulu, who is a very smart, super-hyper or super-asleep, ultra-cuddly, awesomely-cuddly mutt.
I slept in a king-sized bed with her last night. I got up to go to the bathroom, and then watched her get up, stretch, slide under the covers down to the foot of the bed, turn around three times (thus wrapping all the covers entirely around her and leaving NONE FOR ME), and then lie down with the apparent intent of going to sleep this way. She also started out on the entire other side of the bed from me and sloooowly migrated over until I woke up with her under the covers, cuddled up next to me. She is just a total goofy cuddle-monster.
Cosmo is a very aerodynamic space dog! He is also a three-year-old borzoi who loves everybody and is quite well-behaved.
I was driving down the street and I saw Cosmo and his mom crossing the street and looked around but didn’t see anywhere I could immediately park, so I was quite sad. And around ten blocks later I parked and began walking to my destination and… there was Cosmo! And I was happy. And so was Cosmo.
N.b.: I am not sure I am going to be able to go back to posting every day, but things have settled down now that I am fully moved out of my apartment (aside from some storage places where stuff can stay until the remodeling is over.) So most days, I think. Yay!
I am having to (temporarily) move out of my apartment, and all my computer equipment is currently inaccessible, until I get into my temporary place.
Sophie is 1, and a little bitty toy goldendoodle, but she’s a great big star: she has an adorable instagram page.
Ralph is four months old, and he goes around terrierizing everyone in sight. Right in the ankles. Go Ralph go!
Funny, I have run into a number of these pups, and for some reason they are the only breed I’ve ever seen where ALL of them have the standard haircut. Down to the goofy little pom-poms on the ears.
