Having a bit of trouble uploading today, so it’s a light post.
I ran into this guy at the SF gay pride parade quite a few years back. I’d like to think he’s out there somewhere, cautiously optimistic about the progress of gay rights in the US.

This is Molly the Husky. I ran into her in the same place I found yesterday’s dogs… and it didn’t take her long to introduce herself to them.
Someone was having a good day even before she started playing with the other dogs.
And here's Andy from yesterday, with a new toy!
Heading for a three-way tug of war.
Somehow those two managed to play a pretty decent game of keepaway while simultaneously playing tug-of-war.
Until someone got a bit fed up. Also, bonus dog in the background... Welsh Terrier, maybe?
The Lab mix is Andy, and I forgot to take down the name of the Lab puppy. Andy totally looks like he might have some Italian greyhound in him. Very sleek, very fast, and about the size of an 8-month-old Lab puppy.
They got along like a house on fire.

And this is the Lab pup. I love watching them run, ears and tongue flopping everywhere.
This was a first meeting. The results were impressive.
A lot of dog owners would have separated them at this point. Even though it was totally obvious that they were having the time of their lives.
Which just goes to show that dog owners are just as silly as other people.

Why do Boxers always look so confused?
Because they are.
I've been told the name 'boxer' comes from the breed's tendency to bat at things with their paws. Wikipedia, alas, definitely does NOT agree.
I've noticed that boxers look dignified when they're being serious, and totally ridiculous when they're not.
I always get these guys and the English springer spaniels mixed up. Same colors, different almost-everything-else.
Such delicate ears... thin and very velvety.
Incidentally, as funny as it is in the background, the 'no dogs' is just referring to the grassy area, so Patch is just fine here.
I have two very similar pictures, and I can't decide which one I like better. If people wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate it if you'd leave a note in the comments section telling me which one you like better, this one...
...or this one? (Also, why you prefer one over the other would be nice to know too.)
Could be a long-haired German shepherd/Rottweiler. Could also be Belgian shepherd, and there are a number of other dog breeds that have similar coloration to the Rottweiler. Anyway, he’s awesome, and fully deserving of the coveted New Year’s spot.
But this is new and interesting for another reason, too… this is the first of the pictures taken with my spiffy new Canon Exilim EX-FH100. Which, yes, is a wee bit of a step up from the built in camera on my iPhone. Thanks, Autumn!
The new camera can't claim too much credit here: Trucker is an amazingly photogenic dog.
See? Such a pretty dog, and willing to pose for me for as long as I liked.
I'm not sure the first two pictures really capture Trucker's attitude right, though. He was happy and cuddly...
...although he was initially a bit dubious of me.

What you get if you don't trim your poodle constantly. (IMO, 'a much better looking dog'. But that's just me.)
Some dogs are so dainty about communicating with their people. A gentle tap on the toe and a beseeching look...
...garners great rewards in terms of ear skritches. Yay!

Sorry I missed a day — vacation plus jetlag plus spotty internet access plus travel preparations make for a difficult combination.

Found this pup at an adoption fair.
How anyone could walk by this without taking home a puppy is beyond me.
I had to be physically pried away from them, myself.
They also had to pry his puppy teeth out of my finger. But hey.
