I’d say Tamir (5 years old, and a girl) looked like a baby bat, but y’all might take it the wrong way. I happen to think that baby bats are adorable.
I can’t believe this is our first Mexican Hairless, but it sure looks that way. Congrats, Tamir!

Who better to celebrate National Puppy Day with than an adorable little Shetland sheepdog?
(If you’re viewing this from Facebook, and it looks weirdly cropped, click through to the blog post. It’s worth it. At least, I think so.)
Was just going through my old pictures, and found this one neglected in a folder. I quite like it. It’s the top knobby-bit from the Point Reyes lighthouse.
I ran into this guy taking his cat out for a walk. Needless to say, he was surrounded by admirers, and got a bit of attention from some passing dogs as well. I didn’t quite catch the kitty’s name: it was somewhere between Buffy and Poppy, with a possible stop at Fluffy or Floppy. Well, whatever, pretty cute.
Also, my point-and-shoot camera (Canon SX260 HS) just semi-died after two years and four months of service (which is to say, four months out of my credit-card-extended warranty), so most of my pictures are liable to be iPhone until I can figure out what to replace it with.
Who knew a shorn Eskie would look like a Pomeranian?
For some reason, Zoe/Zoey/Zoë/Zooey is one of the more common dog names I’ve seen. Not sure why, but it works for me.
This particular Zoe is a 10-month-old German shorthaired pointer who loves long walks and longer runs.
Poor Finn! Well, maybe not… he sure wasn’t letting it slow him down any.
Finn has an instagram page, ‘finnthetoller‘, whereon you will see OMG RIDICULOUS pictures of Finn. The younger puppy ones are too cute for words, or even inarticulate squeaking sounds.

The picture looks a little weird, kind of like he’s glowing. This is not the camera’s fault. This is what Finn looks like in person, too.
I don’t know this gal’s name, and the dog tags aren’t helping any (unless her name is ‘SF Dog License’) but she’s awesome. I am like 90% sure I’ve taken pictures of her before, and I may even have posted some, but if so I can’t find them.
Edit: Dad weighs in in the comments! She’s a she, she’s Cher, and they think she might be a basset/pit/border collie/lab or something like that. Anyway, I ran into her again recently and she’s just as awesome as I remember.
I first saw Boo way back in 2010. He’s still a charmer, although he had a bit of a handicap in that department when I took these pictures.
Autumn’s mom wanted to give me something for Christmas. She’s a painter, and did a cute little iPhone holster for me a couple of years back, so I suggested another one: I leave one at work, with my belt and shoes, so I can jog in with a very small backpack and shower and change there. So it’d be nice to have one for home.
I only gave her the actual holster at Christmas, so obviously the gift would be a bit belated. But it finally came, and it is awesome.
