Dog of the Day: Emma the Labradoodle Puppy

I ran across Emma in the almost-dark. I had to try taking pictures anyway, she was just too adorable, but none of them came out. But rather than subject you to more of my blurry best efforts, I got lucky this time, and cadged her mom into sending me some pictures she’d taken. So, if these are awesome, no credit to me (except I lightened up some of the shadows a bit.) All credit to Emma’s mom (for taking them) and Emma (for being ridiculously adorable!)

If you look closely you can see the little ploof of white fur on her chest. (Yes, ‘ploof’ is a technical term. It means ‘ploof’.)

Emma is 12 weeks old in this picture… it won’t be long before she doesn’t fit in that basket any more.

I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again: EEEEEEEEE! TOO CUTE!

Dog of the Birthday: Brewer the Labradoodle

I’m sorry for the slightly blurry photos, but I ran into Brewer yesterday when it was kind of dark outside, but I still HAD to post him. Why? Because tomorrow (Saturday the 23rd) is Brewer’s first birthday, and I wanted to wish him a happy birthday!

Especially happy since he came pretty close to not making it: he got hit by a car a few months ago, and is still recovering. He’s got a bit of a head tilt (looks worse in the photos than it is in real life) and some other issues still, but he gets better every day, and he is SUPER-happy and just absolutely adores people. (Although he’s a little wary around kids.) He is just an incredible sweetheart.

He’s also got a cowlick thing going on, where his fur flops down over his left eye. Adorable.

Brewer alternated between looking up at me, butting his head against me to get me to pet him, and dancing around and trying to get me to play with him.

Double Dog Day: Summer and Jessie

Their official names are “Springbank Summer’s Bright Future” (a winner of several awards at dog shows, including at least one ‘grand championship’ that’s not shown on that page… whatever that means, search me, I dunno!) and “Sir Jessie Valentine.” And they are both gorgeously awesome and gregarious and cuddly.

They were very well-trained. Of course, show dogs have to be.

Neither of them was at all afraid to get those long pointy noses all up in my bidness.

Just the way I like them, of course.

Dog of the Day: Simba the 16-Week-Old Husky Puppy

I ran into a puppy on the way home today. This isn’t her, though I’ll be posting her soon, if any of the pictures came out. But since I was showered with cute on the way home from work, I felt like I ought to spread some of that cheer around.
