I queued up this post Monday evening, so I wouldn’t have to bother (or bother you with my blathering) on Tuesday evening. So it is not necessarily evidence that I have survived the day.

These two are twins, and full of sibling rivalry…
(Also, vote, goddamn it.)
(Also also, moved two more pictures below the fold.)
This cute and fluffy guy has his own Facebook page! He is also, from what I understand, a world traveller.
Stuck two pictures below the break.
Apparently ‘Tervuren’, which was a new one on me, refers to the coloration and fur type. Another description of the coloration and fur type would be ‘gorgeous’.
I found this pup out on the Embarcadero with her dad. I reached out to pet her and she immediately retreated behind dad and peered out at me mistrustfully. And I thought, ‘wow, a shy Belgian shepherd!’ So I started snapping a few pictures, and kneeled down to get a picture on the level with her, at which time she came over and stuck her nose in my face and licked my camera. So, well, if she’s shy, she sure isn’t shy for long.

Sophie’s dad didn’t really know what Sophie is… he said ‘she’s a rescue dog, and she’s some kind of terrier mix, I’m sure, but I don’t know what kind.’ I was pretty sure she looked like a Glen of Imaal terrier, but I wasn’t confident enough to bring it up with him. But I get back here and look it up, and sure enough, she’s pretty much the spit and image of a Glen of Imaal. Cute little thing, huh? And even aside from that she’s a very distinctive dog, because she’s probably one of the three happiest pups I have ever met.
Did I say happy? She’s ecstatic. She’s delighted. She has not only crossed the line into manic, she actually races up and down along the line, barking wildly, delighted that the line exists and just happens to be here and about the idea of line-ness in general.
Stuck another three pictures of Sophie below the break.
When I was introduced to her, she immediately ran over and looked up at me.
First off, sorry about the server problems yesterday. I wish I could say they weren’t my fault.
Second, it seems that my local sports franchise has won some sort of highly significant contest. Whoopie. For those who are celebrating this occasion, I am posting photos of two of the more interesting (to this blog) attendees of said event: one of them is one of San Francisco’s Finest, and the other one was a perfectly nice policeman.

In honor of Autumn’s birthday, more pictures of the Great Puppy Fight!

I got all sorts of information about this gal: her name is Onyx, and that the fur on her back is a little patchy and oddly patterned because she recently had back surgery to repair a herniated disc. What I didn’t get was her breed. We’re guessing dachshund mix, but if anyone wants to correct us, feel free to do so in the comments.
Second picture moved after the break.
While I mostly prefer briefs, I will admit that occasionally boxers are just what you need.
Tucked the second picture below the fold.
