Aww. Our friend the Great Dane just wants to play, but I think this guy is totally ambivalent. He never even looks up when the Dane is galloping towards him.
I really thought the Great Dane was just going to run this guy right over.
I'm not a dog, and I'd be a little freaked out by having that thing gallumphing towards me.

The American bulldog just didn't want to play. Looks like someone else does, however.
Our friend the Great Dane from yesterday has found a couple of friends. He could handle either one individually, but when they gang up on him, he doesn’t have a prayer.
And from this we learn that standard poodles really are surprisingly large.
After a couple minutes of this they had him running around in circles.
This coming week is going to be pictures from a dog park that I took last month, and only now managed to clean off my hard drive enough to get them downloaded from the camera. Raw images are big!
Quite a lot of the pictures will include this fine fellow, so I thought I ought to, ah, let you see what was coming. As it were.

Some dog park shots of a goofy dawg, to brighten your day. Autumn and I are both sick, so we need a little brightening.
German shepherds can look like such noble dogs, but they also can look goofier than pretty much anything else.
This gal was of the super-goofy-all-the-time variety.
Lighting problems. Sometimes they're unavoidable, when the dog owner picks the spot she wants the pictures taken.
This pup was really ball-obsessed.

She likes to take a water dish and drag it around in big circles on the ground. Why? Who knows.
Charli was a real snorg-hund… she has the ‘I just want your loooove!’ look down pat.
Patient, well-behaved, and yet very demanding.
Can't remember what he was staring at, but he was definitely happier here.
This is an experiment... the full-sized picture is too fuzzy to use, so I shrank it. It's definitely *better* small, anyway... just not sure whether it's 'good'.

A little small for standard, a little big for miniature. Maybe he’s an adolescent or something. (Having looked this up now, apparently any poodle taller than 15″ is ‘standard’, so I guess he’s just a smallish standard poodle.)
I never thought about it before, but a reflective collar on a black dog for nighttime walks sounds like a really smart idea.
For some reason this stance looks totally silly to me. Anyone else? Is it just me?

I have a few more of this guy, which I’ll get to when I’m not feeling quite so… used up. I have a lot more sympathy for PR people, especially those trying to do it on a shoestring budget. This sea otter campaign is taking a lot out of me. You’re going to hear this a few more times from me, but if you live in California, please do consider giving on your California income tax forms. Do it for me, do it for the otters, do it for the dogs who love to play with otters, whoever. Just do it.
