Dog of the Day: German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever Mix

It’s been a long week, and I feel like this:

Tell it like it is, pup.

Dog of the Day: Chocolate Labradoodle

Can’t believe I forgot to record this pup’s name. Autumn and I were eating at the outside tables of ‘Eastside West’, which is a bar with an absolutely lovely brunch menu in the Marina, and we got a little bit of love from a bunch of passing dogs. And I got all of their names but this one. I’m such a bad person.

Brown Labradoodle

Despite what I imply in my hovertext, Autumn and I were done eating. This pup wasn’t loving on our food, she was just saying hi to us.

Chocolate Labradoodle

This is the dog that left the latest noseprint on my camera lens. (Reminds me, I should clean that off.)

Brown Labradoodle

Oh, I love that expression. And also the slightly blurry (madly wagging) tail.

Back End of a Brown Labradoodle

Star Wars dog: kind of looks like a wookie/wampa/bantha mix!

Dog of the Day: Milli (aka @sillipup) the Irish Setter Puppy

Autumn and I had a VERY good dog day on Sunday. I mean, like, we had to cut a couple of photo shoots of puppies short because we saw ANOTHER PUPPY. That never happens!

Milli (who has her own twitter feed) was the last one we ran across, and I think she more or less broke Autumn, who has been squealing at odd intervals ever since. She would have broken me too, except I had to take the pictures so I didn’t get to pet her as much.

Five-Month-Old Irish Setter Puppy

Is she really an Irish setter? Well, that’s what mom says, anyway.

Five-Month-Old Irish Setter Puppy

Let’s see a close-up of that. OMG the whiskers! (Also, look, it’s an ad for ‘RUFFWEAR’.)

Five-Month-Old Irish Setter Puppy

Yep, Autumn definitely hit it off with Milli.

Milli is an official Wiggle Monster™.

Go check out Milli’s Twitter feed. Some of the pictures of her when she was even younger are RIDICULOUS.

Dog of the Day: Moe, Is That You?

One of the costumed dogs at the doggie-block-party Autumn and I went to looked a little familiar. I think this is Moe! (Or should I say ‘King Moe’?)

I missed the costume contest part of the party, but there were still a few glorious ones around.

I couldn’t actually tell if Moe minded the costume or not. He was making no effort to shed it, but he does look maybe a little disgruntled.

Dog of the Day: Lolly the 11-Week-Old Vizsla Puppy

Computer’s screen is being flaky. Please, please, you just have to last a little longer, and then I’ll replace you and you can rest! (Or, well, I’ll donate you to somewhere that they’ll keep you plugged into a monitor all the time, more likely.)

Anyway, fuzzy screen or not, I can tell that Lolly here is just about the cutest you can get without making people’s heads actually explode. And maybe she even does that occasionally. But only by accident, because she must prefers people with functioning heads so that they can pet her.

11-Week-Old Vizsla Puppy

Gangly and awkward, and yet excruciatingly cute.

11-Week-Old Vizsla Puppy

Yes, that’s my leg. She was very emphatic about wanting me to put down the camera and pet her.

Puppybelly!

That’s not drool under her chin, by the way… just a spot on the pavement.

Bunday Supplement: Disapproving Rabbit Strikes Again

Autumn and I went to a ‘dog fair’ block party last weekend (I know, I know, I totally forgot to post about it before hand, I’m a bad dog blogger!) and it turns out there were also kitties (which I will post next Caturday) and bunnies!

White Rabbit With Grey Nose And Feet

That is one substantial rabbit. I suspect he outweighs most cats.

Happy BirthDogOfTheDay: Coltrane the Labrador Retriever (Mix?)

I know, I know, it’s caturday, right? But I also ran into Coltrane on his birthday, so I just had to give him pride of place today. Don’t worry, I have a non-dog post planned for tomorrow.

Don’t know if Coltrane is a full lab — apparently they can have white on their chests, hearkening back to one of the breed progenitors, which had ‘tuxedo’ markings and was called the ‘St. John’s water dog’. But he could also have a little something else in him. Who knows? He’s great, though.

Chocolate Labrador Retriever With White Line Down Chest

Happy face! I’d say he knew it was his birthday, but honestly he probably looks like this every day.

He was briefly intrigued by my camera.

Chocolate Lab Nose

Would not be a birthday without the obligatory nose shot.

Smiling Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Little did Coltrane know that he was on his way to the dog bakery (no, really) to get a dog birthday cake!

Dog of the Day: Oh No, No More Ozzy!

No, no, relax, as far as I know Ozzy is fine. But what isn’t fine is OZ Lounge, which seems to have closed its doors. Which means that I will no longer have the chance to pet an adorable husky on the way to work. Woe is me!

Siberian Husky

These are the last shots I got of Ozzy, between one and three weeks before they closed.

Siberian Husky

He was definitely at maximal cuteness for the occasion.

Dog of the Day: London the Miniature Labradoodle

I saw London (4) as I walked by an eatery in the Marina district. He was being amazingly well-behaved, just lying there patiently while mom and her friend had lunch, not even doing much of the ‘please can I have some of that’ eyes.

Black Miniature Labradoodle

Friendly, patient, and cute. And pretty obedient too.

Black Labrador Retriever/Miniature Poodle Cross

He even knew how to shake.

You can see a bit of another dog in the background. There were, in total, FIVE dogs at the outside tables of this restaurant.

Dog of the Day: Deflated Bulldog (Post From Phone)

Mumble. No internet and no dogs makes Adam something something.

Hopefully Internet will be fixed by tomorrow. In the mean time, though, I don’t have any dog pictures on my phone so you just get a little text.

On the up side, I just reassembled my old iPhone (after disassembling it and replacing the broken screen last night) and about 99% of it works! (The flash doesn’t work, but I’ve never actually used the flash so I don’t care.) And I promise you, as difficult as it may sound, in reality it’s worse. If a set of instructions tells you to make sure you don’t mistake the 1.4 mm screw for a 1.5 mm screw, my advice is to put them down and back slowly away.

Oh wait! I do have a dog picture on my phone after all. Plus, as a bonus, it accurately represents how I feel about my internet being flaky for hours and then going entirely missing.
